Insomnia inviterer til konsert for unge ører // LYRA
Hey you! Welcome to the Norwegian premiere of two new musical works at Alfheim Swimming Pool. A Norwegian and a Latvian artist pair have for the past months been working with commissioned works made for young ears. The works are based on two fairy tales. Join us under the surface and experience two exciting and strange concerts in the depths of the pool!
Insomnia festival is a festival for electronic music and arts, and has excisted in Tromsø for the last 20 years! It’s a festival that makes you dance, think, question and discover new expressions. This year we expand our audience and we are very excited to invite a younger crowd. We see it as important to present good sound- and listening experiences to the young!
LYRA is a collaboration between Insomniafestivalen and latvian music festival Skaņu Mežs. LYRA is made by the two words ‘listening’ (lytte) in Norwegian and ‘creating’ (radīt) in Latvian. LYRA is a prject lasting for two years that aims at introducing young people to electronic music through workshops, comissioned works and presentation of a musical programme for the target group.
Before the concerts start, we’ll serve pizza and soda accompanied chill vibes.
OBS: The concerts are free, but you need to reserve a ticket due to limited spaces.
This project is supported by: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway EEA Grants and Kulturdepartementet.
The project is presented in collaboration with Redd Barna og Kurant9000.
