This seminar invites artists from different fields into a dialogue about art and activism. Looking at art as an approach to create awareness, understanding and connection with the outside world, how can art be used as a tool to spread alternative narratives and build new stories/structures in our societies? Can art contribute with a face to stories forgotten by the world and forward solutions to local and global challenges? In a context where the mass media and those in power continue to fail us in providing nuances and new ideas, what role should art play in challenging the “status quo”? As a mean of protest, upholding humanitarian principles and values? Should art be public? What does art mean for y/our resilience? How does/can art create and build community/individual resilience?
