A Modular performative installation by Lars Holdhus and Martin Kohout
An installation created out of ceramics, fabrics, tea and 4 channel sound. DungeonTT is an immersive modular environment open to be experienced both as an exhibition and a platform for their take on the japanese, chinese and western tea ceremony. Tea culture spans from the Japanese ritualistic and strict ceremonial practice, to the chinese conversational approach, all the way into the western way of adding milk and sugar in coffee or tea. Pottery created by Lars and Martin is one of the central aspect of the installation. It will be an attempt to stretch the functionality and the ritualistic aspect of pottery while still making it possible to serve the guests. DungeonTT offers something in between a conversation, a casual cup of tea and a different way of experiencing this 6000 year old drink. The clothes in use during the performace has been designed by artist Sandra Mujinga. The performance will be presented by Matyáš Cigler and Martin Kohout.
Evelina Deicmane – Lullabies for Monsters
We arrived to Tromso in the midsummer time when the sun stays up all night and gave us sleepless nights. We had to sing lullabies over and over again to put our son to sleep. We walked our restless son around and collected nature, singing lullabies and hallucinating from a lack of sleep.
Lullabies for Monsters, is an installation using flowers, leaves and grass collected on nature walks and transformed with drawing and painting into monsters. The installation is accompanied by a sculptural centerpiece which tells a story and sings original lullabies to the various flower monsters.
Exhibition period : 17th of October to 15th of November.
